Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating precise Division 8 door, frame, and hardware schedule submittals and shop drawings for Kendell projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints established by estimating. The role involves completing the scheduling process with job costing entries and managing submittal revisions while identifying opportunities for cost savings throughout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Protech software, spreadsheets, and project documentation to produce submittals and shop drawings.
  • Prepare door and frame submittals and shop drawings in compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop detailed hardware sets, ensuring correct sequencing and formatting while identifying the intended functions of door openings.
  • Assess door openings to select appropriate products that comply with relevant codes and standards.
  • Adhere to FSC policies, BAA, ADA, and Building Code guidelines throughout the scheduling process.
  • Organize and compile all project information for management review.
  • Stay informed on industry codes, standards, products, and manufacturers through ongoing education and training.
  • Apply newly acquired knowledge and skills to enhance job performance.
  • Serve as a resource for industry and organizational knowledge among colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the construction industry, particularly in product scheduling or detailing.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling software, with preferred experience in Protech, Microsoft Excel, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic calculations and interpret technical drawings.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members.
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while consistently meeting deadlines.
