We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equal Opportunity Investigator to join our team at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough and impartial investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, and other forms of prohibited conduct.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct investigations into complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other forms of prohibited conduct, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing documents, and analyzing data.
- Prepare written reports and summaries of findings, including recommendations for resolution and follow-up actions.
- Provide information and testimony to support disciplinary actions and other personnel decisions.
- Liaise with business units and HR to convey concerns and recommendations resulting from investigations.
- Support internal and external equal opportunity-related investigations, complaints, inquiries, and charges across the enterprise.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and patterns in equal opportunity complaints and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting thorough investigations into allegations of discrimination and other forms of prohibited conduct.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing nondiscrimination and equal employment opportunity.
- Excellent investigative, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Juris Doctorate degree.
- Additional 5 years of experience exclusively investigating civil rights-related complaints.
