We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Trinity Health FirstChoice. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of practice settings, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Job Summary:The Travel Nurse RN will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in the NICU, including assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to patients in the NICU, including assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient, including those with complex medical conditions and those who require specialized care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure seamless care transitions and to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where working.
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of recent clinical experience in the NICU or a related specialty area.
- Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and age-specific needs as demonstrated by successful completion of introductory orientation behaviors for Registered Nurses.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of the job description.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
- Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
