Norman Regional Health System is a leading healthcare provider nestled in the heart of the Oklahoma City metro area. Our innovative cardiovascular program is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist to join our team.
We take pride in our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower, which features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. Our team collaborates closely with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Norman Regional Health System has received numerous awards for its commitment to excellence, including American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation, American College of Cardiology NCDR Registry Gold Award, Women's Choice Award in Heart Care, Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation, and American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures to ensure seamless operations.
- Conducts thorough patient assessments to identify potential risks and provide personalized care.
- Maintains a sterile environment throughout procedures, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.
- Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Fosters strong working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements:
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months.
- Attain all competencies listed in department policy within six months.
- Possess a completion certificate from a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology, with eligibility for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or current RCIS certification.
- Demonstrate previous procedural area experience, preferably in a Cath Lab setting.
- Hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
Compensation and Benefits:
- $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on prior work experience.
