Job Summary

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing serological testing, diagnostic analysis, and consultation in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform serological testing on potential transfusion recipients and donor blood
  • Conduct diagnostic analysis and consultation to ensure accurate test results
  • Modify and release blood components for transfusion
  • Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate testing
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Develop and implement new procedures and protocols to improve laboratory efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
  • ASCP certification
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical laboratory setting
  • Experience with blood banking and transfusion medicine preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
