Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Planner to join our team at the University of California. As an Equipment Planner, you will be responsible for budgeting, planning, and identifying capital equipment needs for construction, remodel, and medical equipment replacement projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and planning for capital equipment needs
  • Providing technical information and advice on equipment standards, utilization, and pricing
  • Acting as equipment planning and programming liaison officer and coordinator
  • Providing objective and consultative support to project teams
  • Preparing and reviewing reports and documentation
  • Coordinating site visits, special studies, and analysis of new technology
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in architecture, planning, education/business administration, or industrial engineering
  • Three or more years of related experience in equipment planning for construction and remodel projects
  • Experience working with high-value hospital/clinical capital equipment procurement programs
  • Experience with supply chain management and contract management
  • Experience tracking metrics and analyzing data
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four or more years of related experience in equipment planning for construction and remodel projects
  • Experience with medical equipment validation and procurement
  • Experience with Attainia capital equipment planning software
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
