Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team at Parkland Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

As an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, ordering tests and medications, and developing treatment plans.

- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and advancements in emergency medicine, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care.
- Provide education and training to students, residents, and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our organization's educational programs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program recognized by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) performing the same or similar job duties.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant from the Texas Board of Physician Assistants and current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex medical information and make sound decisions.
