As a Security Officer (unarmed), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct regular patrols, enforce facility regulations, and maintain a secure atmosphere within the healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguard patients, visitors, and employees by providing escorts and patrolling the premises.
  • Prevent vandalism, theft, and property damage through vigilant monitoring of hospital grounds.
  • Conduct searches of belongings as necessary and utilize security equipment effectively.
  • Enforce Cleveland Clinic policies, including parking regulations and visitation rules.
  • Monitor facility activities via closed-circuit television to identify and address potential security issues.
  • Understand and execute emergency procedures, including alarm responses and evacuation plans.
  • Adhere to health system policies regarding attendance, confidentiality, and dress code.
  • Complete mandatory training and education to maintain required competencies.
Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED is required. Certifications: A valid Ohio driver's license is necessary, along with OPOTC approved Private Security Academy competencies.

Experience: A minimum of one year in criminal justice or security-related fields is preferred.Physical Requirements:

This role demands extensive walking, standing, and the ability to respond physically to emergencies.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Compliance with Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment is mandatory.
