We are seeking a skilled Nurse Clinician to join our Neuro/Ortho clinic team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Report and rectify deficiencies as requested.
- Assume responsibility for and supervision of medical equipment.
- Provide pre-attending care for patients, including comprehensive assessments and documentation.
- Perform routine nursing duties, including phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital sign measurement.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
- Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls.
- Manage urgent/emergent medical situations according to organizational protocols.
- Delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants as needed.
- Comply with all existing policies and procedures related to patient care.
- Initiate and coordinate patient education.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. You will also need to demonstrate clinical competency and the ability to use appropriate judgment and independent thinking when resolving patient care issues.
