Senior Machine Learning Engineer, TikTok Core Ads Ranking

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the TikTok Ads Core Ranking team, you will be responsible for optimizing the efficiency of our advertising delivery system and revenue growth by building state-of-the-art models and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize efficiency across the entire advertising funnel, including recall and rough-sort, fine-sort, format and creative personalization, and system resource allocation.
- Research and develop a global advanced advertising delivery system through frontier technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large language models.
- Design and set up system frameworks and standards to continuously improve overall efficiency and meet different vertical business needs.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or similar quantitative fields, with related experience in search, ranking, or recommendation domains.
- Hands-on experience in machine learning, deep learning, statistical models, and applied mathematical methods.
- Solid programming skills, proficient in C/C++ and Python, with familiarity with basic data structures and algorithms, Linux development environments, online experimentation, and analytics.
- Familiarity with big data systems, including Hadoop and Spark, and architecture and implementation of mainstream machine learning programming frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MXNet.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in reinforcement learning, transfer learning, and counter-factual optimization.
- Understanding of the business value of online advertising.
- Experience in large language models and paper publication in NLP, CV, or recommendation systems.
