We are seeking a skilled Senior Cook to join our team at Bear Creek Senior Living, a premier assisted living and memory care provider in the Western United States.
About the RoleThe Senior Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations, as well as company standards. This role requires a quick and diligent individual who can follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of all basic food production skill sets with the ability to perform these error-free and meet the company quality standards
- Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position
- Experience and/or knowledge of special diets, meal preparation for large groups preferred
- Safe food handling techniques are required
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Work in a team environment
- Work flexible shifts
- Handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
