EMTAK LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior SharePoint Migration Specialist to lead our SharePoint Online migration project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering a successful migration from SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.

Key Responsibilities
  • Migration Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy, including planning, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Environment Assessment: Assess the current SharePoint environment, identify migration requirements, and create migration plans and timelines.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Configuration and Governance: Configure SharePoint Online and M365 settings, ensuring optimal performance and integration with other systems, and implement best practices for SharePoint Online governance, security, and compliance.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and end-users throughout the migration process.
  • Progress Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Post-Migration Review: Conduct post-migration reviews and evaluations to refine processes and improve efficiency.
  • Staying Current: Stay current with SharePoint Online and M365 updates, features, and capabilities, evaluating and recommending new technologies as needed.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with FS Poly
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • SharePoint Expertise: Experience with SharePoint Online administration, including configuration, customization, and integration, and expertise in migrating SharePoint from on-premises to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
  • Office 365 Knowledge: Knowledge of Office 365 applications and their integration with SharePoint Online.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator or Lead, with a focus on migration projects.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • SharePoint Architecture and Best Practices: Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, infrastructure, and best practices.
  • CompTIA Security+: CompTIA Security+ is required within 6 months of start date.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree plus 14 years technical experience (five years technical experience can be substituted for degree).
