Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Technician to join our team at The Job Center Staffing. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for testing, measuring, and evaluating the quality of products and processes to validate their use and communicate results effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned testing processes
* Gain a good level of understanding of stamping and welding processes and locations throughout the plant
* Collect and organize test samples efficiently
* Read part drawings and have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
* Have a working understanding of Gage Calibration and its purpose
* Use measuring and test equipment as necessary, including Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Dial Indicator's, Bore Gages, Go/No Go Gages, Thread Gages, Torque Test Equipment, Chop Saw, Band Saw, Tensile Test Equipment, and Camera
* Carry out all cut checks and weld penetration checks

Relationships:

* Reports and is accountable to Quality Assurance Manager

Performance Measurements:

* Inspection and testing done timely and accurately
* Ability to communicate test results effectively
* Follow up to ensure audit findings are being addressed by the appropriate TM's according to schedules

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED
* Previous lab experience preferred
* Previous experience with stamping/welding preferred
* Effective communication in English (both verbally and in writing)
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
* Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings and technical documentation
* Ability to use a wide variety of measurement tools

Working Conditions:

* Exposed to heat at times during the summer months and cold weather during winter months
* Exposed to some processing oils from material and equipment
* Exposure to upper noise levels
