Job Summary

Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills, designing a tailored plan of care and implementing treatment modalities as needed.
  • Document patient progress, monitoring and modifying the plan of care as necessary, and seeking consultation when required.
  • Educate patients and families/caregivers about patient deficits, planning and/or assisting with patient discharge from therapy services, and providing information on adaptive equipment and support programs.
  • Oversee care provided by designated individuals, adhering to established regulations and practice standards.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field, as required for licensure in the state of practice.
  • No experience required.
Physical Demands
  • Constant standing.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
  • Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving patients.
  • Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional driving.
  • Rare crawling.

  • State of Work Location: Illinois - Occupational Therapist - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • State of Work Location: Missouri - Occupational Therapist - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
  • State of Work Location: Oklahoma - Occupational Therapist - Oklahoma Medical Board.
