We are seeking a skilled Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse to join our team at Universal Healthcare Resources. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU, addressing any immediate postoperative concerns, and educating patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, monitoring and assessing their vital signs, airway, and overall condition post-surgery.
- Administer medications and interventions to manage pain and support the recovery process, collaborating with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
- Ensure a safe and efficient transition from the operating room to the PACU, addressing any immediate postoperative concerns and providing education to patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and technologies in post-anesthesia care, enhancing your skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
- 2+ Years of experience in a post-anesthesia care unit or similar setting - Required
- Pre/Post Op Experience - Required
- PACU Training - Preferred
