Job Title: Casual Driver, Transportation Services
Job Summary:
As a casual driver for Bucknell University, you will provide transportation services to university employees, students, and visitors for university business and events using university vehicles. This is a casual, non-benefits eligible position that will be scheduled to work on an as needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a university-owned vehicle in a safe, reliable, and professional manner, providing safe and efficient transportation to the university community and its visitors.
• Provide information and other general assistance to the university community and its visitors.
• Maintain records of work performed.
• Make timely reports of accidents, incidents, and unusual occurrences.
• Assist passengers in boarding, loading luggage, and exiting vehicles if necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Demonstrate ability to safely and efficiently operate a loaded passenger bus (up to 15 passengers including driver).
• Candidates must pass a University Motor Vehicle Record Review (MVR) upon employment.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year driving experience with a vehicle that weighs over 10,000lbs.
• Must possess a valid United States driver's license, valid for a minimum of 2 years.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and able to follow instructions pertaining to particular routes.
• Demonstrate ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Bucknell and the surrounding area.
• Working knowledge of Workday for time-keeping.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications.
