About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at Regional Hospital of Scranton. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing top-quality care to our patients by working closely with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment and ensure the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, gathering and arranging necessary equipment and surgical tools.
  • Pass surgical tools to the surgeon and assistant, and assist in retracting tissues from the surgical patient.
  • Count and account for all tools and instruments used during surgery, and dispose of needles and gauze properly.
  • Apply dressings to surgical sites and maintain a clean and organized operating room.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited operating room technical program.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist through the NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • Current BLS certification.
