Position Summary: The Fire Sprinkler Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, maintenance, and servicing of fire sprinkler systems and alarms. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with safety standards and ensuring optimal performance of fire protection equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to service requests and conducting on-site evaluations
  • Performing inspections on various fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, anti-freeze, and pre-action systems, as well as fire pumps and hydrants
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with relevant codes and regulations
  • Conducting system tests and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Providing emergency troubleshooting and repair services for fire protection equipment
  • Documenting service activities and generating detailed reports
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining effective communication with clients
  • Ensuring a safe and organized work environment at all times
  • Collaborating effectively with administrative staff, sales teams, and management
  • Carrying out additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in fire industry inspections is essential
  • Ability to independently inspect and service fire alarm and sprinkler systems
  • Strong customer service skills for interacting with diverse clientele
  • Proficient written and verbal communication abilities
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as an AF2 or equivalent NICET in Utah
  • Certification as a Backflow Assembly Tester in Utah
