We are in search of a Senior Technical Operations Engineer who will oversee the management of production environments, including systems and databases, essential for supporting critical business functions.

This role involves performing administration and analysis across multiple production environments, recommending innovative solutions to enhance availability, performance, and supportability.

This position offers the chance to leverage a blend of extensive technical expertise alongside administrative and analytical knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure, providing essential support for a variety of complex production environment challenges related to significant growth, scalability, and high-performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Operations Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing OCI Cloud Infrastructure, including both hardware and software components.
  • Providing advanced technical support for complex issues, which may involve leading problem management initiatives and offering management updates.
  • Coordinating escalated support cases and guiding internal technical resources or third-party vendors to resolution.
  • Managing Oracle production environments, assisting with server operating system and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching, while working on standardization projects for hardware and software within the Oracle technology stack.
  • Ensuring consistent system uptime as expected in a cloud environment and providing on-call support on a rotating basis.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required; eligibility/willingness to undergo polygraph testing is necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Linux System Administration, Networking, Storage, Compute, and Virtualization.
  • Experience in managing incident response and leading incident bridges.
  • A strong customer focus and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
  • Prior experience in cloud technical support, operations, NOC, or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technical disciplines and train others effectively.
