Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The RMR Group. As a key member of our residential maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity of our properties, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
  • Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition.
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, involving electrical and plumbing, A/C and heating systems, appliances, water irrigation systems, and other essential systems.
  • Perform work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
  • Ensure storage areas remain locked when not in use.
  • Assist in making-ready repairs and services, and coordinate with make-ready staff to meet deadlines.
  • Report all major repairs and need requisitions to the Maintenance Supervisor prior to any expenditure of funds.
Requirements
  • High level of proficiency in written, verbal, and arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to plan and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other relevant information.
  • Current certifications in EPA and CPO.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in property management.
  • High School Diploma required, College preferred.
