Position Summary

As a Residential RN, you will be responsible for evaluating and addressing medical needs, delivering nursing care to participants, and providing assistance to those who are ill, injured, or disabled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and monitor the medical needs of program participants.
  • Deliver routine and emergency nursing care as required.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports in compliance with program regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Oversee the orientation, training, and management of health and safety personnel.
  • Identify issues and direct personnel to appropriate resources.
  • Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
  • Administer medications with precision.
  • Participate in safety initiatives.
  • Enforce infection control policies and procedures.
  • Act as a resource for health-related inquiries.
  • Provide educational sessions on health topics for staff.
  • Keep supervisors informed of individual needs and concerns.
  • Certify and recertify AMAPs as necessary.
  • Review and respond to Incident Reports.
  • Offer on-call telephone support as needed.
  • Advise participants on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of public health issues and treatment procedures in collaboration with health and social service agencies.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Adhere to high standards of patient care.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
