Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Steel Welding and Fabrication Apprentice to join our team at Precision Industrial Contractors. As a Steel Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication and repair of equipment using specialized welding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and operation of welding equipment, ensuring proper function and application.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and cut lists to accurately cut materials.
  • Perform welding tasks with assistance, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Adhere to all company and customer care standards, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the achievement of corporate vision, mission, and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, with a minimum of eight hours per day.
  • Basic math and measuring calculations skills.
  • Successful completion of required and on-the-job training.
  • Safe operation of overhead cranes and lifting devices.
  • Previous experience in welding and fitting is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with welding tools and procedures, including TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and safety protocols.
