About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Gerontological Nursing Care Coordinator at Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Potomac.
About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time position that offers a rewarding career in gerontological nursing, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As a Gerontological Nursing Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver high-quality care and coordinating care delivery to ensure that our residents' needs are met.
What You'll Do:
- SUPERVISE NURSING PERSONNEL TO DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY CARE AND COORDINATE CARE DELIVERY TO ENSURE THAT RESIDENTS NEEDS ARE MET.
- COORDINATE WITH PHYSICIANS, NURSES, AND OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT CARE PLANS THAT MEET THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF OUR RESIDENTS.
- EVALUATE RESIDENTS' CONDITION AND PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE CARE THAT INCLUDES MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, WOUND CARE, AND DRESSING CHANGES.
Requirements:
- Certifications and Licensure: Valid and current LPN/LVN state license; CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience: 2-3 years of clinical experience in gerontological nursing; experience working with dementia populations preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis.
