Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Associate to join our team at Kohl's. As a key member of our Distribution Center team, you will play a critical role in protecting our assets, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Protection: Assist in the protection of all Kohl's assets, including physical assets, human assets, and profit assets.
  • Physical Security: Partner with Distribution Center Loss Prevention Assistant Supervisors and Facilities Management to monitor physical security policies and procedures.
  • Incident Reporting: Report incidents of associate theft or safety violations to the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Assistant Supervisor.
  • Internal Investigations: Participate in internal theft investigations, adhering to Kohl's Loss Prevention Internal Theft Investigation and Confidentiality Guidelines.
  • Safety and Compliance: Monitor all Kohl's Department Stores/Distribution Center Safety Policies and Procedures and actively participate in the Distribution Center Safety Committee.
  • Auditing and Data Entry: Perform Distribution Center Loss Prevention Audits and data entry of all audit results and assigned information.
  • Gatehouse Operations: Perform all Gatehouse operations and Gatehouse data entry, as described in the Gatehouse section of the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Manual.
  • Special Projects: Assist in store inquiries and participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Adherence to Kohl's Ethical Standards
  • Professional Communication: Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exhibit confidentiality.
  • Multi-Functional Skills: Ability to be multi-functional, use good judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Supervision and Autonomy: Ability to follow instructions and take directions, as well as work with minimal or no supervision.
  • Math and Computer Skills: Basic math, computer operations, reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and/or previous Distribution Center, Law Enforcement, and/or Store Loss Prevention experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Auditing Experience
  • Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and PeopleSoft.
