Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Duke Primary Care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Assist with various diagnostic procedures and evaluate patient responses to care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Assist with the maintenance of equipment and other material resources.
  • Participate in in-service education programs and other conferences within the service.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a medical assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
  • High school or GED graduation required.
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified in a clinical setting required for Level II and above.
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.
  • BLS required.
