Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Data Platform team. The successful candidate will guide the technical development of the platform, lead the development roadmap, and grow the team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of smart and motivated engineers to design, build, test, and release mission-critical software components.
- Run an efficient and effective scrum process to foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, feedback, and measurable metrics.
- Collaborate with Product and Project Managers to come up with a development roadmap and schedule.
- Support application teams, QE, SRE, and CS teams.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 5+ years software development experience with Java or Scala.
- 3+ years of experience in a management or lead position.
- Demonstrated competence using scalable distributed processing frameworks.
- Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem components, such as HBase, Phoenix, Kafka, Spark, and Oozie.
- Ability to examine data workflow processes to identify and resolve problems with correctness or performance.
- Ability to communicate engineering design and tasks in writing and in conversation.
- Knowledge of advertising technology is a plus.
