Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing advanced radiographic equipment. Your role will involve providing healthcare services that aid in diagnosis and treatment, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. You will exercise professional judgment and maintain a demeanor consistent with medical ethics while ensuring patient care and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' ability to participate in procedures and provide clear explanations regarding the process, duration, and post-procedure expectations.
  • Educate patients as necessary.
  • Obtain informed consent and uphold patient confidentiality.
  • Select appropriate equipment, set technical parameters, and prepare necessary supplies prior to procedures, adhering to radiation safety standards.
  • Gather comprehensive patient histories and document relevant information to assist in image interpretation.
  • Conduct quality assessments of obtained images and address any equipment issues as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance tests on imaging equipment as required.
  • Engage in departmental quality improvement initiatives and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Perform additional clinical and administrative tasks as assigned within your scope of practice.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • ARRT Board Certification in Radiology (RTR)
  • Valid Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit to practice in the applicable state
