About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory functions to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients
  • Process and receive specimens, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the laboratory
  • Accession specimens and distribute them to the appropriate laboratory departments
  • Perform and result specific test procedures, as required
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of phlebotomy course preferred
  • Current license or trainee license in the state of practice (if applicable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
