Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Custodian to join our Facilities Department. As a Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 11:00 PM, with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors, as well as washing windows and glass partitions.
  • Check and replace light bulbs as needed to ensure optimal lighting conditions.
  • Assist with furniture and equipment moves to ensure efficient use of space.
  • Operate and maintain janitorial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Aide in emergency cleanups to respond to unexpected situations.
  • Report any issues or concerns to management to ensure prompt attention.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a janitor or custodian in a commercial or industrial setting is required.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle, or access to a reasonable alternative, is required.
  • Dependable transportation that can move cleaning equipment is required.
  • Ability to handle cleaning agents safely is required.
  • Medium to heavy work involving lengthy strenuous activities, such as reaching, bending, or lifting, is required.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination sufficient to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment safely is required.
