Position Overview

The Department of Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center is actively seeking qualified candidates for an esteemed faculty role as an Oncological Surgery Specialist. This position is integral to the Montefiore/Einstein National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will possess a collaborative spirit and comprehensive expertise in all facets of oncological surgery, including both conventional open and minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, as well as the management of intricate oncological patient cases.

Departmental Support

Successful candidates will benefit from the full backing of the Department of Surgery, enabling them to cultivate a robust academic practice through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and the NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Qualifications

Applicants should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology. Responsibilities will encompass the management of both inpatient and outpatient cancer patients, collaborating with existing surgical specialties. The patient demographic will include a wide range of cases involving gastrointestinal, abdominal, endocrine, and solid tumor management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $325,000 to $450,000, commensurate with academic rank, along with opportunities to enhance earnings through clinical productivity incentives and bonuses. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
