Job Summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned EPC Project Director to lead and oversee our portfolio of power utility projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, execution, and delivery of all EPC projects, ensuring they align with the company's goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision for the EPC department, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire portfolio of EPC projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Engineering Oversight: Ensure engineering designs meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies that maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Construction Management: Oversee all construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison with clients, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Risk and Quality Management: Identify and mitigate risks across the project portfolio.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the EPC department's budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing large-scale EPC projects, within the power utility sector, with prior experience in an Operations leadership role highly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and procurement processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procure).
  • PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
Work Environment:

This position requires both office and fieldwork. The candidate must be willing to travel to project sites as needed.
