About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy team at Manatee Memorial Hospital. As an Overnight Lead Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to our patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and promoting a culture of excellence within the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services, including medication therapy management, patient education, and drug information
  • Lead and manage the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Monitor and improve pharmacy operations, including inventory management, supply chain, and quality assurance

Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida
  • PGY1 Residency or 3+ years of relevant acute care experience
  • Knowledge of hospital-based information systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • PGY1 Residency in Acute Care Setting
  • BPS certification
  • Strong proficiency in computer literacy, including MS Office, Pharmacy clinical systems, and Pyxis technologies
