Position Overview

We are looking for a committed individual to fill the role of Construction Support Technician, tasked with overseeing work orders, fixtures, and construction initiatives. This position involves collaboration with various department leaders to address work order requests and ensure adherence to organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate coordination among departments to meet production and construction requirements.
  • Assist with both pre and post-event construction activities, including maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Perform outdoor work in diverse weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Embody the values of the State Fair of Texas.
  • Familiarity with construction practices.
  • Knowledge of organizational building standards and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and municipal codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in maintenance roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Licensing Requirements

  • Possession of a Texas driver's license or the ability to obtain one.

Supervisory Structure

  • Reports to the Fairtime Operations Supervisor.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Work Environment

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions and terrains.
  • Physical demands include mobility and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Flexible schedules based on operational needs.
