Child Development Specialist

Children's Aid Society is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education to children from diverse backgrounds. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Education Director in implementing evidence-based curricula and promoting the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
The Child Development Specialist will assist in preparing and organizing materials and resources needed for daily lessons, activities, and projects. They will also collaborate with teachers to adapt and modify instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodate students with diverse abilities
- Conduct small group activities under the guidance of the lead teacher to reinforce lesson concepts and provide additional support to students as needed
- Monitor and assess student progress during small group sessions
Requirements:
- A High School/ Local Diploma or GED is required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- At least 2-years experience working with infants and toddlers, and children with Special Needs
