We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory procedures and examinations pursuant to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of reviewed laboratory procedures relevant to the particular work going on in the laboratory.
- Prepare and test specimens for examination and review preliminary results with technologists for sign-off.
- Keep accurate records and operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Ensure and maintain quality control and assurance activities and maintain the laboratory area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform routine cutting and staining of surgical specimens, frozen sections, and special stains.
- Associate's Degree required.
- Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Histological Technician in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 0-1 years of technical experience required.
The salary range for this position is $45.39-$55.27/hour.
