Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and friendly Ostra Host to join our team at the Mokara Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling payment transactions, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities:

* Greet guests with a warm smile and superior customer service
* Seat guests in a clean and available table, providing them with a clean menu
* Answer phone calls and record reservations according to MOS standards
* Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, and guest well-being
* Assist servers when needed
* Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return

Requirements:

* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Prior host experience preferred
* Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance
* Flexible scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays
* Alcohol training certification (TABC) and food handlers training certification
