Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Contract Nurse to provide direct medical services to our residential programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for distributing medication, performing medical examinations, and communicating with staff regarding medical needs.

Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Distribute medication as needed throughout the residential programs.
  • Medical Examinations: Perform triage medical examinations of each youth entering the program.
  • Communication: Communicate with staff regarding medical needs and concerns.
  • Documentation: Document all pertinent information in the nurse's log and individual client files.
  • Training: Provide medication management training for new employees and yearly refresher for current employees.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in the human service delivery field, preferably working with adolescents/young adults.
  • Certifications: Health Professional Licensing in Washington, DC and Proof of Professional Liability Insurance.
  • Transportation: Must have own transportation.
  • Training: Complete 40 hours of training annually.
