Drafting and Design Internship

We are seeking a highly skilled Drafting and Design Intern to join our team at Industrial Louvers, Inc. as a key contributor to the development of custom architectural metal products.

About the Role

As a Drafting and Design Intern, you will work closely with our experienced Drafting and Engineering Teams to create 3D models and parametric configurations of architectural metal products using Auto-Desk Inventor.

Key Responsibilities

• Create full-scale 3D models using Auto-Desk Inventor, including layouts and drawings for production.
• Develop templates and workflows for primary users, ensuring efficient and accurate design processes.
• Utilize Inventor iLogic to create automated 3D models, establishing rules that support manufacturing processes and capabilities.
• Automate and create programs for parts created on CNC Equipment, streamlining production workflows.
• Collaborate with the Production Team to enhance automation, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in Mechanical Drafting schooling using 3D CAD Software, ideally Inventor.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic drawings, understand dimensioning and proportions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
