Telecommunications Network Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at Telcom Construction, LLC. As a key member of our Splicing team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and splice copper and fiber optic cables in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Test and activate equipment after installation
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment
  • Self-supervise operations to ensure compliance with customer and industry specifications
  • Safely operate bucket trucks and climb poles as needed
  • Field train and oversee the work of other Splicers
  • Complete daily production reports and track work hours
  • Reconcile issued parts and materials
Requirements
  • Previous experience splicing copper and fiber optic cables
  • Ability to distinguish colors
  • Knowledge of telecommunications network structure
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license or eligibility to obtain
  • Maintain a current DOT health certificate
Physical Requirements

The duties of this position require standing, crouching, sitting, bending, and lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. Remote work may be required, involving long driving and sitting periods.
