Job Summary: As a Warehouse Labor Specialist at FedEx, you will be responsible for performing trailer switches, communicating with management and central control, and documenting trailer moves. You will also perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment and understand and demonstrate effective yard switching safety processes and procedures. Additionally, you will perform package handling tasks such as loading and unloading packages and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling packages.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform trailer switches, including hooking and moving parked trailers from the yard to a load/unload door or hooking and moving trailers from a door to the yard
* Communicate with management and/or central control to coordinate trailer movements in the yard
* Document trailer moves using the Yard Management System (where available) or switcher cards
* Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment
* Understand and demonstrate effective yard switching safety processes and procedures
* Perform package handling tasks, including loading and unloading packages and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling packages

Requirements:

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages
* Ability to work in a warehouse environment
* High school diploma or equivalent required
