Activity Therapy Specialist

Touchette Regional Hospital is seeking a passionate individual to fill the role of Activity Therapy Specialist. This position involves delivering therapeutic activities to individuals undergoing treatment for mental health disorders. Key responsibilities include facilitating psychoeducational sessions, organizing client activity schedules, overseeing therapy technician assignments, and managing the inventory of departmental supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with clients as necessary
  • Ensure safety within the unit
  • Perform evaluations and document client development
  • Design and implement structured activities for clients
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary treatment teams
  • Provide training and oversight to other staff members
  • Participate in meetings and professional development sessions
