Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare all food items with high quality, timeliness, and consistency to meet menu and customer standards.
  • Build rapport with customers while embodying the values and mission of Thomas Management LLC.
  • Set up and stock the sandwich/sliced station with necessary supplies.
  • Properly handle, store, and rotate all products in the station or walk-in cooler.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to cook menu items.
  • Adhere to proper techniques and presentation standards for all dishes.
  • Follow correct food handling and storage procedures in compliance with company and state regulations.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor in communication and conduct with customers and team members.
  • Report any unsafe working conditions, operational needs, and equipment issues to management.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older, subject to specific state requirements.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Capability to provide documentation for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify to confirm employee eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Background check and drug screening required.
  • ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card, as required by state regulations.
  • Proficient in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • Willingness to work holiday and weekend shifts.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

This position requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service. Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds and push/pull food hot boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Bending and stooping for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment is necessary. Manual dexterity is required for the use of kitchen utensils and tools. Visual acuity is needed for reading menus, labels, and directions. Hearing ability is essential for responding to verbal communications. Exposure to varying temperatures is expected. Taste and smell are necessary for assessing food quality, freshness, and adherence to dietary standards. Ability to distinguish colors for food presentation is required.
