Job Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing individualized support to students with special needs. As a Special Education Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist lead teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide academic support to students, including literacy and math activities
  • Assist students with self-help skills, promoting independence
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as needed
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A genuine passion for working with children, patience, and compassion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in psychology or related field
  • Experience working with children with special needs or autism
Benefits
  • Consistent pay rate: $18/hour
  • 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM-3:15 PM
