Oncology Med/Surg Nurse Wanted for California Assignment

A dynamic and challenging opportunity has arisen at Mercy Medical Center for a skilled Oncology Med/Surg Registered Nurse to join our team on a travel assignment in California.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RN with 2+ years of experience in Med/Surg Oncology to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient outcomes, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Prioritize patient care needs, develop individualized plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation, shadowing senior nurses, and demonstrating proficiency in performing skills and tasks required for the role.
- Demonstrate expertise in providing holistic care, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncology practices, medications, and treatment options, adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with Charge Nurses, Clinical Supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Additional Information
This is a full-time travel assignment with a competitive salary range of $1600-$1800 per week, commensurate with experience. The position offers flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts, including 4 weekend shifts per month, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
