We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team at Kroger. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to meat preparation, sales, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Meat Preparation: Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, prefabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, and selling meat products in accordance with company policies.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations on meat products.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, rotate stock, and ensure that meat products are displayed safely and in accordance with company standards.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company policies and procedures for sanitation and safety.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a meat department or similar environment preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, provide excellent customer service, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a cold environment.
- Meat work experience: Previous experience in a meat department or similar environment.
- Dependability and integrity: A strong work ethic and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations: Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
