We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Adult Co-Occurring Unit team at Sheppard Pratt. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting recovery and empowerment.
- Lead and mentor Mental Health Workers and other paraprofessional staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Document and report patient progress to the treatment team, ensuring continuity of care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) is required.
- Experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices, acquired through at least one year of inpatient RN experience or equivalent.
- Ability to work a minimum of four shifts per month, ensuring adequate staffing and patient care.
