About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient response to therapy
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations, providing critical care interventions as needed
  • Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
  • 2 years of acute care experience, or 1 year of cardiac unit experience, or greater than 6 months current employment as GN/RN in a critical care unit
  • CPR Certification
  • ACLS Certification within 1 year
  • Basic Dysrhythmia Course within 1 year
  • Critical Care Course current or acquired within 1 year
  • Trauma Nurse Course within 1 year
  • PALS Certification current or acquired within 2 years
  • CCRN Certification current or acquired after 3 years
