Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Icahn Automotive Group LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with colleagues to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, and electrical systems.
  • Perform job duties of lower-level technicians, including Mechanic and General Service Technician.
  • Effectively communicate technical diagnoses and repair plans to non-technical individuals, including employees and customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology through ongoing training and education.
  • Assist colleagues in performing technical tasks and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis and repair.
  • 4 or more ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension, A5 Brakes, and 2 from A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance).
  • Section 609 certification required.
  • State Inspection license if applicable.
  • High level of motivation, energy, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and placing of merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing and walking for long periods.
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
  • Effective communication in person, by telephone, or using telecommunications equipment.
  • Entering and locating information on computer.
  • Presenting information to small and large groups.
  • Visually verifying information, often in small print.
  • Safely operating a motor vehicle.
