Job Summary:

Quality Custom Distribution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A driver to join our team. As a Class A driver, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering products to our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Transportation: Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination truck to transport and deliver products to our customers.
  • Logistics: Maintain accurate records of transportation, including driver logs, trip records, and mileage records.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely delivery of products and communicating effectively with customers.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain the condition of the truck, including performing routine maintenance tasks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and achieve company goals.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Must possess a valid Class A driver's license and a current DOT Medical certification card.
  • Experience: One year of experience driving a tractor-trailer combination truck, preferably with refrigerated truck experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to lift and handle cases weighing up to 75 pounds.

Working Conditions:

The Class A driver will work in a fast-paced environment, often in extreme weather conditions. The driver will be required to stand, walk, and climb in and out of the truck, and will be exposed to cold temperatures in the cooler and freezer.
