We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Alamo Group. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing heavy equipment, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and test heavy equipment, following blueprints and technical specifications
- Assist in set-ups for production, ensuring efficient and safe working conditions
- Verify dimensions and make adjustments as needed, using measuring instruments and blueprints
- Perform testing of finished products, checking operational functions and quality
- Disassemble, rework, and touch up painting of parts as required
- Assist in training coworkers in proper work procedures and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year assembly experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment or transferable experience preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basis
- Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Knowledge of GMS and safety systems to ensure compliance
This is a physically demanding role that requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent overtime scheduled, including weekends.
